Welcome to “Frosted,” a brand born from a creative challenge shaped by a passion for innovative design. “Frosted” is not just another frozen hard drink; it’s a fusion of icy refreshment and vibrant flavors, crafted to provide a delightful sensory experience. This brand embodies a modern, dynamic spirit, aiming to deliver an unparalleled frozen beverage that tantalizes taste buds and elevates moments of enjoyment.
Concept Origins
The inception of “Frosted” stems from a pivotal project in my Package Design class. Tasked with creating a unique brand and designing its packaging, I sought to develop a product that stands out in the competitive beverage market.
Process Work
The creation of the “Frosted” logo was an exploration of how to visually convey the essence of a frozen delight. Initially, I aimed for the logo to have an icy, frozen appearance to directly reflect the product’s chilled nature. However, I decided to use the Impact typeface instead, as it delivers a bold and striking effect that immediately grabs attention.

The sketches for “Frosted” were meticulously crafted with a clear vision of the brand and its market presence. Each sketch reflects a commitment to making the fruit flavors the star of the show, with vibrant, hand-drawn illustrations of fruits prominently featured on both the cans and the case displays.

The color palette for “Frosted” aligns perfectly with the vibrant flavors of the beverages. Red (#f5311d) represents the energetic Fruit Punch, orange-yellow (#efc44e) captures the tropical delight of Orange Pineapple, and green (#ced785) reflects the fresh and crisp Kiwi flavor. These colors not only highlight each flavor but also create a visually cohesive and appealing brand identity.

The typography for “Frosted” was chosen to enhance the brand’s visual appeal and identity. Impact is used for the main headings and product name, grabbing attention with its bold and energetic presence. Lovecraft adds an elegant touch to flavor names and descriptive text, reflecting the artisanal quality of the beverages. Acumin Variable Concept ensures readability for supplementary information, with its clean, modern lines. This combination of fonts creates a dynamic, premium, and cohesive look for “Frosted,” making it visually engaging and memorable.
Typography
The digital mock-up drafts of “Frosted” are the first step in turning the sketches into a real product. These early designs help us decide which parts of the sketches work best. The mock-up below shows the fruit as the eye catcher in hopes to help the client know which flavor the can is.
